Re-torque all connections to 65 lb-ft and mark the bolts and nuts to keep track. The wood may have shrunk due to moisture loss, so all bolts need to be re-tightened.
Use cardboard and spray paint to mark the target height for the spray foam (5.5”). This will serve as a guide during application. White paint is shown here, but black would be better contrast.
Use a wood treatment product to protect the wood from damage caused by insects, fungi, and decay. Bora-Care (1-gallon) shown here, which was enough for the whole structure.
Mix the product thoroughly with a power tool and hot water at a 1:1 ratio. Insufficient mixing will clog the sprayer.
Apply a quick and even coat to all surfaces using a garden pump sprayer.
Apply to all under-floor surfaces as well. While it’s less critical if treated wood was used, it doesn’t hurt to apply it regardless.
Congratulations on completing the in-wall systems! The HRV ducts will be covered with foam, so now is the time to have them inspected.
