For the traditional choice of batt insulation with an asphalt shingle roof, the best option is synthetic – for easy replacement after each new asphalt shingle roof is installed.
For the choice of flash-and-batt insulation with a metal roof (as outlined in this instruction manual), the best option is fluid-applied.
Fluid-applied offers the most robust and permanent solution, which is ideal for a roof that will last a lifetime.
